Our surroundings

There are hiking trails, cycling routes, swimming pools and special programmes for families in the immediate vicinity. The village of Gröbming with its numerous shopping facilities and restaurants is only 6 minutes away by car. An absolute highlight is the Stoderzinken, Gröbming's local mountain. With the Friedenskircherl, it was rightly named the "most beautiful place in Austria". For those who are free from giddiness and are looking for a thrill, the zipline is an absolute must.

Variety is also provided: Schladming, the Sölktäler, Hauser Kaibling and Ramsau with the Dachstein are all in the immediate vicinity.

In winter, when the region is covered in a white blanket of snow, numerous sports and leisure opportunities are on offer: 9 ski mountains, 860 km of groomed slopes, a free ski bus to all ski areas on request, 250 km of cross-country ski trails, ski schools and ski rentals in Gröbming and Pruggern as well as winter hiking trails, game feeding, horse-drawn sleigh rides, curling, moonlight tobogganing and torchlight hikes.
